With high-style photography, chic furniture and fun neon flair as its background, the new 2013 LS Luxury sedans had their world debut at the “Lexus Laws of Attraction” exhibit in San Francisco July 30, 2012.   The event featured more than 500 invited guests from the San Francisco arts and design community who shared their thoughts via #Lexus Attracts on twitter.

The 2013 LS line-up includes the LS 460, LS 460L, LS 600hL hybrid and the first-ever LS 460 F SPORT. LS 460 and LS 460L are available in RWD and AWD.  The LS Hybrid is available with a full-time AWD system.

The all-new LS 460 F SPORT combines a more aggressive exterior with a unique sport interior featuring F SPORT seats with larger bolsters, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters and genuine aluminum trim.  With a  sport tuned air suspension that has been lowered 0.4 inches, a Torsen® limited slip rear differential (RWD model), Brembo six-piston caliper brakes and 19” forged wheels with summer or all-season tires, the LS F SPORT promises to be the most engaging LS ever.
The entire 2013 LS lineup is refined with dynamic, fresh styling that reflects the bold new face of Lexus. The aggressive spindle grille gives the new LS a greater road presence and stronger brand identity while heralding a significant improvement in driving dynamics, responsiveness and handling.

Lexus’ new design philosophy was the inspiration for the “Lexus Laws of Attraction” exhibit, which included exclusive photographs by world-renowned fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth that feature prominent couples with the Lexus flagship vehicle.

“The ‘Lexus Laws of Attraction’ photography exhibition showcases Lexus’ dedication to design,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager.  “Craftsmanship is at the core of the company’s design philosophy, which is expressed in our new spindle grille and driver-focused interiors that integrate modern refinement and intuitive technologies.  With our passionate commitment to world-class craftsmanship and now a relentless pursuit of style and design, people can’t help but be attracted to the new LS.”

SGT. Mozingo is shown here carrying CPL. Love on his back, which he did for 21KM in the triathlon for Wounded Warriors while wearing a gas mask. Way to go!!!

Lindsay Collision Center
is very proud of Jeff Mozingo’s son, SGT. Spencer Mozingo.  Jeff is a current employee of Lindsay Collision and Spencer used to work here with his father.  SGT. Mozingo is a part of Team X-T.R.E.M.E  – Train, Rehabilitate, Empower, Motivate, Endure – which is a non-profit organization working to raise awareness and funds for our Wounded Warriors.

SGT. Mozingo carried CPL. Love on his back for 21KM in the triathlon for Wounded Warriors.  Sgt. Mozingo lost his left leg in Afghanistan 3 years ago and yet still carried Cpl. Love (who is a double-amputee) while wearing a gas mask!  This event took place on June 9th in Richmond, VA in support of  http://www.teamxtremerunning.org/.

Team X-T.R.E.M.E. chose the gas mask to symbolize their initiative.  Running while wearing a gas mask is equivalent to 20-25% oxygen resistance.  Often people ask how difficult it is to run long distance in a gas mask.  Their reply: “Not nearly as difficult as living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), learning to walk again with prosthetics, or living the rest of your life with burns on over 30% of your body.”  They parallel the perception of temporary discomfort and difficulty associated with running in the mask to the challenges our wounded veterans will endure for the rest of their lives.  Impressive!

Thank you SGT. Mozingo and fellow soldiers!  Lindsay Auto Group supports you.

Bike to the Beach DC is a 1-day, 104-mile charity ride starting in the District of Columbia and ending in Dewey Beach, Delaware to benefit Autism Speaks. This year’s race will be held on August 3, 2012. Lindsay Auto Group’s owner and several of our employees will be participating in this year’s charity ride.

Autism is the second most prevalent developmental disability in the world today. Its prevalence is global and without boundaries. It reaches far-and-wide, and close to home.

In the years between the first Bike to the Beach and when Bike to the Beach became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the three founding members joined the millions of other Americans affected by Autism: each had a cousin who was diagnosed with the neurological disorder.

The founding members saw how the diagnoses affected their families and transformed the lives of those around them. And each was inspired to make a difference in a fight to understand and treat a disorder that is more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined, for which the cause and cure are unknown.

The facts are stunning:

  • Every 20 minutes, a child is diagnosed with autism.
  • Autism now affects 1 in 88 children and 1 in 54 boys
  • An estimated 1.5 million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide are affected by autism.
  • Autism is the second most prevalent developmental disability in the world today.
  • Autism receives less federal funding than any other disorder that affects children.

Since then, Bike to the Beach has been able to inspire hundreds of other affected and sympathetic supports to partake in our events, particularly our annual 100 mile charity bike rides from urban centers in DC, New York, and Boston to local beaches to raise awareness and funding for those affected by Autism.

Bike to the Beach has partnered with Autism Speaks, whose continued government and public advocacy and critical educational and medical research will continue to help the growing number of people who find themselves faced with this still largely misunderstood condition. One day we can and will crack the puzzle!

Learn more about Autism Speaks on their website.
