Lindsay Collision Center is very proud of Jeff Mozingo’s son, SGT. Spencer Mozingo. Jeff is a current employee of Lindsay Collision and Spencer used to work here with his father. SGT. Mozingo is a part of Team X-T.R.E.M.E – Train, Rehabilitate, Empower, Motivate, Endure – which is a non-profit organization working to raise awareness and funds for our Wounded Warriors.
SGT. Mozingo carried CPL. Love on his back for 21KM in the triathlon for Wounded Warriors. Sgt. Mozingo lost his left leg in Afghanistan 3 years ago and yet still carried Cpl. Love (who is a double-amputee) while wearing a gas mask! This event took place on June 9th in Richmond, VA in support of http://www.teamxtremerunning.org/.
Team X-T.R.E.M.E. chose the gas mask to symbolize their initiative. Running while wearing a gas mask is equivalent to 20-25% oxygen resistance. Often people ask how difficult it is to run long distance in a gas mask. Their reply: “Not nearly as difficult as living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), learning to walk again with prosthetics, or living the rest of your life with burns on over 30% of your body.” They parallel the perception of temporary discomfort and difficulty associated with running in the mask to the challenges our wounded veterans will endure for the rest of their lives. Impressive!
Thank you SGT. Mozingo and fellow soldiers! Lindsay Auto Group supports you.
