If you ask one of our many customers in the greater Chantilly and Alexandria areas why they are fans of Cadillac, most will respond that it’s because of the brand’s iconic design. Whether you’re looking at an ESCALADE, ATS, or SRX, you will instantly know that it is a Cadillac.
The consistent styling of the American manufacturer’s cars does not mean its designs are boring; it just means that they know what looks good. Each new Cadillac model has a distinctive grille, a strong sloping roofline, and a sharp body crease that when combined, create an elegant profile that could never be confused with that of another brand.
The universal appeal of this distinct aesthetic was recently verified when the CADILLAC ELR, a brand new plug-in hybrid coupe, was given the Eyes on Design award at the North American International Auto Show. The award is given by a panel of judges made up entirely of automotive designers, making the honor especially sweet.
Do you want to come experience such iconic design and engineering for yourself? We’re located at 1525 Kenwood Avenue Alexandria, VA 22302 and have a sales team that would be thrilled to show you around. If you’re a fan of extreme winter sports, then you probably spent a lot of time glued to the TV to watch Shaun White, Danny Davis, and Louie Vito defy gravity at the recent Winter X Games. Here at Lindsay Chevrolet, we have a hard time wrapping our heads around the tricks that they pull off, but it makes perfect sense that the half pipe and other key components of the terrain park come to life with the help of a Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD.
Course designer Chris “Gunny” Gunnarson and his Snow Park Technologies crew have designed and built 250 courses for snowy competitions in the US and Europe. Gunnarson admits that he wouldn’t be able to do it without his truck that can handle heavy duty work in harsh weather conditions and remote locations. Whether they’re working on avalanche control or building a half-pipe in blizzard conditions, they know that Chevy trucks are up to the task.
Soon, Gunnarson and his work will be featured on the National Geographic Channel in Mountain Movers, a reality program focused on the terrain park specialists and the challenges they face as they create playgrounds for the world’s top winter competitors. He can’t wait to show viewers what he and his truck can do: “I know Chevy trucks can handle the heavy duty work we do, and in the nastiest environments a mountian can offer because I use them every day.”1
If you’d like to check out the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or any of the other trucks in our rugged lineup, stop by our dealership, located at 15605 Jefferson Davis Highway Woodbridge, VA 22191, and our sales team can set you up in a test drive and answer any questions you may have.

Volkswagen fans and enthusiasts already know how much we love the 2013 Volkswagen Golf here at Lindsay Volkswagen. It received a lot of praise from fans and industry experts recently and we are proud to announce that the sporty hatchback has been nominated for another accolade. The 2013 Volkswagen Golf is one of eight vehicles to be nominated for European Car of the Year.
The high distinction and award is set to be determined after jury members vote during the Geneva Motor Show on March 4th, 2013. The 2013 Volkswagen Golf has made it through the first round of judging and everyone at Lindsay Volkswagen thinks our favorite hatchback will bring home the prize.
The versatility of the Golf gives it a very good chance of winning. The 12 different types of trims and multiple engine options drivers can take advantage of, allows the Golf to meet anyone’s needs. This is a distinguishing factor that the Golf has over its competitors.
Lindsay Volkswagen is proud that one of our vehicles has been nominated as a finalist for the European Car of the Year award. However, this is not the first time our favorite German automaker has been called to the podium. In 2010, the Volkswagen Polo was the winner for the European Car of the Year award. While this specific model is only available overseas it does have a lot in common with the 2013 Volkswagen Golf.
While the Geneva Motor Show is just around the corner, Lindsay Volkswagen would like to remind everyone in the Sterling community to come schedule a test drive today. Our new and used Volkswagendealership is located at 22455 Cedar Green Road in Sterling, VA 20166. Pay us a visit and discover for yourself why everyone likes the 2013 Volkswagen Golf.

If you’re like us at Lindsay Cadillac, chemistry was a class that struck fear in your middle school heart. And while we’re not going to get out our Periodic Table or test tubes, we’d like to fill our customers in on some of the cool science behind the new CADILLAC ATS technology that’s benefiting vehicles in the new CADILLAC lineup.
A recent output by our favorite automaker called the “Periodic Table of ATS” delves into the luxurious technology, and how CADILLAC parts are enabled by alkaline, various other metals, and more.
What do you think Si, or Silicon, could help do for CADILLAC ATS? The answer is help create a windshield surface that seeks to provide the smooth and silent ride CADILLAC is known for, aiding in the reduction of wind noise. Carbon (C) and Iron (Fe) also contribute to a strong steel frame, while still allowing it to boast sleek, stylish curves that make the vehicles as decadently aesthetically pleasing as they are capable of producing hugely powerful outputs.
Among others, Copper (Cu), Aluminum (Al), and Magnesium (Mg) all aid in the CADILLAC ATS technology. Chemistry is perhaps more present in your everyday life than you’ve ever realized.
Do you feel some chemistry brewing between you and a CADILLAC model? Then come on down to our1525 Kenwood Avenue Alexandria, VA 22302 location for more information. We’ll go over availableCADILLAC loan or lease options for all you potential or returning customers in the Fairfax, Woodbridge, Chantilly and Arlington areas.

Are you a potential electric vehicle buyer in the Stafford and Woodbridge areas? If so, Lindsay Chevrolet is here to inform you of a milestone the Chevrolet Volt recently celebrated that may convince you to stop by our 15605 Jefferson Davis Highway Woodbridge, VA 22191 location for a test drive.
Chevrolet reports that collectively, Volt drivers have traversed more than 100 million miles solely on electric power. The plug-in hybrid vehicle’s debut got a lot of attention in the automotive industry two years ago, and this month’s numbers are sure to bolster its acclaim. In fact, Volt owners spend an average of 65 percent of their driving time in electric mode, directly translating to money saved.
So how would the electric mode’s efficiency translate to less spending at the pump? Typical savings total out to around $1,370 per year. That’s a big chunk of change thanks to the 38 mile electric range and overall 37 mile per gallon rating. Let’s break down the money saved in a practical way. You could:
- Go to the movies 137 times at $10 per ticket (or 68 times if you bring a date)
- Purchase $151 worth of groceries for nine weeks
- Have your Chevy washed 228 times at $6 per wash
And that’s just the standard savings. Some Volt owners reported even higher numbers. In the ecological sense, they’ve kept about 5 million gallons of gasoline from being consumed, which is more than two supertankers can supply.
Have we convinced you yet? Stop by and see us soon to get out and drive a Volt. And remember to stay tuned to our Chevy blog for more news and updates like this one.
