We see a lot of the same friendly faces come into Lindsay Ford of Wheaton every few years to buy or lease a new or used vehicle from our team of experts, so we weren’t surprised to learn that the American automaker came out on top in a recent study of customer loyalty in the final quarter of 2012.
The study was completed by Experian Automotive, and it found the 47.9 percent of the customer who already owned a Ford vehicle returned to a showroom like ours to either buy another one or a luxurious new Lincoln vehicle. When comparing model loyalty, the automaker also took home most of the honors, achieving a record eight of the top ten vehicles listed.
“Ford has developed extremely loyal customers across a wide range of vehicles,” explains Jeffrey Anderson, director of consulting and analytics for the firm that did the study, “That consistency across its product line has helped vault Ford’s loyalty rankings past its rivals in our latest study.”1
The vehicle at the very top of the list for return purchases was the Ford Fusion, with 60 percent of people who already owned this vehicle returning to get their next car from the brand as well.
If you’re already the happy owner of a new Ford vehicle, then you probably already understand why people are so loyal to the American brand. If you have yet to take the plunge and see what all of the hype is about, we invite you to come by our Wheaton, MD location to test drive one of our popular vehicles today.
