The RaceDots are magnets that make it easy to attach race numbers securely to clothing without poking holes in your jersey or yourself. Berry’s RaceDots solution sandwiches the number and clothing in between a pair of rare earth magnets, which are also keyed to prevent them from migrating once positioned. You can order your RaceDots online at RaceDots.com.

Cadillac announced production of a limited, special-edition 2015 CTS-V Coupe, marking the last chapter of the current model before the next generation of the V-Series debuts next year.

The 2015 CTS-V Coupe will consist of 500 limited-edition cars available during the second half of 2014.

“The V-Series continues to elevate Cadillac, providing an exclusive family of high-performance luxury models that attract a new audience of elite and passionate buyers,” said Uwe Ellinghaus, chief marketing officer, Global Cadillac.

The special edition CTS-V Coupe shares the high-performance technology of its predecessors built from 2010–2014 – including Cadillac’s Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes and 556-horsepower (415kW) supercharged V-8 engine.

The CTS-V Coupe is the most dramatic model in the V-Series range of high-performance luxury models, blending a personal 2+2 layout with a drivetrain vetted on Germany’s famed Nürburgring track.

The 2015 special edition version features an exclusive Ebony interior with red contrast stitching, Recaro® performance seats, metal pedals, Midnight Sapele wood trim, microfiber suede-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dark-finish V grille, satin graphite wheels and red brake calipers.

The 500 special-edition CTS-V Coupes will be produced this summer. Pricing begins at $72,195, including a $995 destination charge and $1,300 gas guzzler tax, and are available for immediate order. Exterior color options include Crystal White, Black Diamond ($995) and Phantom Gray. Buyers can opt for either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. A sunroof also is available ($700).

The next-generation V-Series models are in development and will premiere next year.

“The special edition is a stepping stone to the next-generation V-Series, which will move to the next level with more dynamic design and technical sophistication,” Ellinghaus said.

The All-New 2015 Chrysler 200 was awarded the prestigious Ward’s 10 Best Interiors for 2014. The Chrysler 200 features fluid shapes and well-crafted components with world-class levels of fit and finish. Eight WardsAuto editors spent two months evaluating 41 vehicles during their routine commutes and scored based on features such as ergonomics, driver information, fit and finish, materials, value, safety, comfort and design harmony.

AutoTrader.com named the All-New 2015 Chrysler 200 a Must Test Drive vehicle for 2014. According to AutoTrader.com car shoppers test-drive an average of three vehicles before making their final purchase decision. The cars were picked based on a combination of value, performance, style and features that deliver “something unexpected” to consumers+. The Must Test Drive vehicles were chosen to narrow down the top picks for consumers so they could focus their research efforts in their car and truck purchasing decisions.

The All-New 2015 Chrysler 200 was named the “Mid-Size Car of Texas” by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA). Every spring TAWA members gather to evaluate all that’s new in passenger cars, minivans and performance SUVs. A total of 47 journalists attended and drove 50 vehicles from various manufacturers at the event. Advanced engineering, up to 36 hwy mpg+, a first-in-segment nine-speed automatic transmission, a user-friendly Uconnect® System and more advanced standard and available safety and security features than any other vehicle in its class+ helped separate the All-New 2015 Chrysler 200 from the pack.

Introducing the all-new Performance Data Recorder (PDR), available on all 2015 Corvette models. This fully integrated video and telemetry system allows drivers to record their scenic drives or track experiences while capturing real-time performance data, then watch video playback, analyze their technique and share their drives on social media.

“The Performance Data Recorder combines the ability to record and share drive videos with the power of a professional-level motorsports telemetry system,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer. “Drivers can easily record and share their experiences driving down the Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina or lapping Road Atlanta. In addition, with the included telemetry software, users can analyze their laps in incredible detail, and find opportunities to improve their driving and lap times.”

The PDR system includes three major components, all seamlessly integrated into the Corvette Stingray interior. First is the 720p high-definition camera, mounted within the windshield header trim, which records the driver’s point of view through the windshield. Audio is recorded via a dedicated microphone in the cabin.

Second is a self-contained telemetry recorder. The system uses a dedicated GPS receiver that operates at 5 Hz, five times faster than the in-dash navigation system, for more precise positioning and corner traces. The recorder is also hardwired into the vehicle’s Controller Area Network (CAN) to access vehicle information, ranging from engine speed and transmission gear selection to braking force and steering-wheel angle.

Finally, the system features a dedicated SD card slot in the glove box for recording and transferring video and vehicle data. Recording time depends on the capacity of the memory card, but an 8 GB card can record approximately 200 minutes, while a 32 GB card stores up to about 800 minutes – more than 13 hours of driving time.

The PDR system has four separate modes, tailored for different driving experiences: Track Mode shows the maximum level of data on the screen, including speed, rpm, g-force, a location-based map, lap time, and more. Sport Mode shows fewer details on the overlay, but features key data including speed and g-force. Touring Mode shows no data overlay; it simply records and displays video and audio of the drive. Performance Mode records performance metrics such as 0-60 mph acceleration, 1/4-mile speed, elapsed time, and 0-100-0 mph runs.

The resulting video — with real-time data overlays — can be viewed on the vehicle’s 8-inch color touch-screen (when parked) or downloaded to a computer for further editing and sharing via social media sites.

But don’t just watch and share your drives. Dive into them. The PDR system, which was developed with Cosworth, the supplier of the Corvette Racing team’s data acquisition system, can actually help improve your driving technique with its post-drive analysis software. Comb through the data with a race-derived program that acts as a virtual driving coach. Cosworth Toolbox driving analysis software allows you to load your experience straight from the memory card and easily review your performance and lap metrics.
