Lindsay is proud to sponsor Gripped Racing, a team of approximately 30 local racers competing in Road, Mountain and Cylcocross events! We have provided the team with a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Sportswagen Clean Diesel TDI to help them get around when they’re not on their bikes.
Gripped Racing is a team of cyclists bound together by a common thread of friendship, camaraderie and a desire to improve their lives through the challenges of training and racing. The Gripped Racing team is dedicated to having fun in the great outdoors while promoting a healthy lifestyle through training, racing and encouraging friends to join in their adventures. Learn more about Gripped Racing on their Facebook page.
Gripped Racing will be part of the Lindsay team that will be participating in Bike to the Beach (#B2BDC) on August 1, 2014. B2BDC is a 107 mile bicycle ride from DC to Dewey Beach that raises funds and awareness for Autism charities. Gripped Racing is committed to the local community and global environment by participating in river clean-up days, trail maintenance and other volunteer activities. Gripped Racing recently held a 2014 Tour de France viewing party that raised money for Bike to the Beach and Autism Speaks.
Gripped Racing team member and filmmaker, Jason Berry, developed a new invention, RaceDots, that replace pins to attach race numbers to clothing. The RaceDots are magnets that make it easy to attach race numbers securely to clothing without poking holes in your jersey or yourself. Berry’s RaceDots solution sandwiches the number and clothing in between a pair of rare earth magnets, which are also keyed to prevent them from migrating once positioned. You can order your RaceDots online at RaceDots.com.
